Installation Advice

Before installing, please take a few minutes to read the handbook provided with your model. Keep it in a safe place for future reference. This appliance must be installed by a certified qualified technician in accordance with manufacturer instructions and local/national building codes.

Permits & Inspections: Contact an official inspector (e.g., fireman) or your insurance provider to secure an installation permit prior to operation.

Practical Advices

  • First Use Curing: Heat gradually during initial operation to cure the paint and prevent thermal shock. Ventilate the room well as minor smoke/odor is expected.
  • Approved Chimneys: Always use chimneys matching appliance exit dimensions. Vertical runs produce superior draft compared to 90° turns.
  • Preventing Smoke Spillage: Leave the primary air intake completely open for several minutes when reloading to rebuild chimney draft.
  • Fuel Quality: Burn dry, seasoned cordwood only to maintain efficiency and minimize creosote buildup.

Care Tips

Empty Ashes

Remove cast-iron cap to slide ash into the tray. Only remove ashes when fire has fully extinguished.

Firebricks

Firebricks are brittle. Avoid forcing oversized logs into the firebox to prevent cracking or dislodging.

Creosote Check

Inspect chimney weekly for creosote accumulation. Run air intakes open 10–20 min daily to burn off deposits.
